Corner
The guideline for posting
information in this corner is as follows. If necessary, this guideline could
be changed on a consensus basis.
1. Documents to provided
are:
(Somewhat controversial contents
are acceptable.)
2. Members should
categorize documents according to the content:

Category A: Existing documents relating to PASC
activities
- Category B: Opinions or ideas on international
standardization activities
- Category C: Proposals for cooperation in specific
fields

Category D: Information about proposals of
drafts in the process of international standards development, including
summaries, process stages, deadlines and comments
- Category Z: Other
3. Characteristics
according to the need of response:

- R: Response from members is
requested
- I: Response is not
expected
- U: Urgent information
- (Sometimes “RU” is
used.)
4. In order to
facilitate the accessibility of documents by codifying their contents and
characteristics, each document should bear a document number, as
follows.
NET
(symbol of PASCNET documents)- <USER ID of the person who posted the
document>- <CATEGORY of the document>- <CHARACTERISTICS
of the document>- <the YEAR the document was posted (in 4
digits)>-
<the order of the document to be
presented by the member in the year (in 3 digits)>
Example:
NET-JISC-D-RU-1998-003
(This document is a PASCNET
document presented by JISC, contains information about drafts or proposals in
the process of international standards development, and asks for urgent reply.
This is the third PASCNET document to be presented by JISC in 1998)

6. In order to
UPLOAD (POST) the document:
- Fill in the form (Enter required information, i.e.
Document number, Title, etc.);
- Click on the “Browse” button to choose a document
for upload;
- The popup dialog box will give you the ability to
select document ON YOUR COMPUTER that you would like to submit;

Press “SUBMIT” button.
7. In order to
DOWNLOAD document from the list of docs:
- Click in the “Download
Document” (implemented as link);
- You will be prompted to Open
or Save the document:
- Choose Save and click
“OK”;
- The “Save As” dialog box will allow you
to choose the location where to save the document;
- Click “OK”.
